Meet Nina

Okay, so like, let’s be real. I’m Nina, and I was so over the whole 'boring Kindle case' vibe. My brain is low-key obsessed with mystery plots and tarot, and I felt like my Kindle deserved a case that was actually giving... something. You know?

The whole aesthetic out there was a flop, and I kept noticing that so many of you were looking for something that just felt authentic. Honestly, I started this just to design stuff I personally wanted to see—sometimes that’s super cool and gender-neutral, and other times it’s something cute and dreamy that’s just for me. Turns out, a lot of you vibed with that too, no matter who you are.

This is how Island Covers came to be.

My inspiration? The feeling of an island. Think about it: when you're reading, you're on your own private island—it’s your escape from the noise, your little world of belonging. That's the vibe I pour into every design. My art is meant to be a portable escape, a little piece of an island you can take with you.

Because this is a one-person show, my process is a little slow. But that’s because I need to go on my own little islands, too. I’m out there in the world, reading, traveling, and exploring my hobbies, all so I can come back with fresh inspiration and create something truly special for you.

A note from my emotional support dog, Lola

Every single order is hand-packed by me, but I wouldn't be able to do it without my furry little assistant. Lola is a Poodle, and honestly, she's the real brains of the operation. She's always by my side in the studio, and she’s got a sixth sense for knowing when I need a little warmth and a cuddle. She basically runs the emotional support department.
